Sue France is an
internationally renowned motivational speaker, coach and trainer and the author of the successful worldwide books: “The Definitive Personal Assistant & Secretarial Handbook” & the award winning “The Definitive Executive Assistant & Managerial Handbook.”
Sue has had an excellent career as a secretary, executive assistant and supervisor of assistants as well as later being the training manager responsible for the development of 600 Executive Assistants in the UK for a global accountancy firm and then trainer, coach and Personal Assistant for an international motivational speaker, Bill Docherty MBE of Persuasion. Following her boss’s nomination Sue won the prestigious award of The UK Times Crème DHL PA of the year 2006 and also was a finalist in the European Smart PA of the Year 2007 out of 26 countries. This led on to Sue being asked to present worldwide and starting her own training business for Assistants in November 2009. Since then Sue has worked in Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Austria, Prague, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Hong Kong, Canada, Macedonia, Romania, Athens, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cyprus, Ireland, Johannesburg, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, USA, Saudi Arabia, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Shanghai, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, France, Germany and the UK. Sue is a certified Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and is a Qualified Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development L&D Practitioner, Certified TetraMap (behavioural Profiling). Sue is a neuroscience enthusiast and includes neuroscience information and brain friendly tips in her workshops.
Sue started work as a shorthand typist/word processing operator and worked her way up becoming a senior secretary, team supervisor, events manager and Personal Assistant to the Head of a Global Accounting firm. Sue was also the events manager for Clients and organised team-building weekends for the employees and alumni events. Sue has worked in the secretarial field for over 35 years during which time she studied part time as a mature student to be awarded a post graduate diploma in human resource management and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and she is now a Fellow.
Sue is on the editorial board of the new global magazine for secretaries – “Executive Secretary” and regularly writes articles for this magazine and other publications. Sue is also a Fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management.
Sue has been involved in raising funds for charities by being sponsored to walk in such places as the Grand Canyon, the Inca Trail in Peru, the Alps, Mount Etna and the Great Wall of China and the UK.
Sue’s eldest daughter is Sara Reading and is married to Chris and they have given Sue 2 wonderful grandchildren – Bella and Theo. Sara and Chris own a painting and decorating company in Cheshire “The Knutsford Decorator” and enjoy working together whilst helping people to make their homes their pride and joy.


Sue’s youngest daughter, Samantha Lewis is an Assistant Restaurant Manager and graphic designer by trade and has redesigned ‘Sue France Training’ logo, business cards and website banner which Sue is delighted with. Her husband, Danny is an aeronautical engineer serving in the RAF.
Sue loves spending quality time with all her family and especially Bella and Theo, Sue’s adorable grandchildren.
